I really do love every wedding that I shoot. And I know I shouldn't say this, it's a bit like saying you have a favourite kid, but to this day, this one still stands out to me when I think back on the 2023 season.

Tamara and Joe met when they were in college but didn't get together as a couple until a bit later in life. They have been through so much together, and share a beautiful rainbow baby (who completely stole the show btw!). I think the biggest thing that I remember what how electric the guests were with their love of this couple. Everyone was overjoyed to be there and to celebrate with them. It was so beautiful!

This was technically a wedding on a budget, which I highly recommend, but you could not tell at all. The details were meticulous! Tamara's gifts as a teacher shone through in the thoughtfulness and fun of the decor. This included a crossword puzzle for the guests to mingle and be refreshed before the reception and their personalized issue of The Newlywed Post in exchange for the traditional ceremony programs. The other detail that stays with me were the vows. Holy! These two could have been poets! They were beautifully written and so personal. Even I thought I must have had a little dust in my eyes. The meticulous planning and attention to detail really made my job a breeze. Joe and Tamara were such a joy. What a beautiful experience! I'm so glad I got to be a part of this day <3
