The Calm Before the Storm
Just like planning the perfect wedding, there are a million checklists and do-to's on a photographers end too to get ready for your big day. Here we are on the verge of another incredibly busy wedding season and the planning and prepping is in full force!
To be fair, my wedding season started early with a beautiful, icy January wedding, (check out my instagram for some of those shots! That couple was up for fun even in the -50!!) however the real crush is on it's way! It made me so excited for the future possibilities of more wintery inspiration!
We've been putting together and mailing out welcome gifts to our upcoming brides, getting final consultations booked to help our couples settle all of the details for their big days, booking add-ons for our Luxe clients, and prepping our paperwork to keep us all organized!
New This Year
This year my latest brain child has been the Luxe Add-Ons for my Essentials and Documentary wedding packages. This is a bit of a pilot project that I am SO excited to offer my couples, it's a fantastic way to really pamper yourselves and get the most out of your wedding experience. This year I'm offering any two of the following choices for my Luxe clients:
> Professional portraits for your guests for 2 hours - This takes the guess work out of your wedding favours. Every guest leaves with a professional portrait of them and their loved one(s) in hand that night.
> A second photographer for 8 hours. This allows you to have different perspectives of the same moments and capture more of the candid images that one person just can't get alone.
> A stagette tag-along. 1 hour of photography at your stagette. I will follow you and your girls for an hour and capture all the fun goofy moments of you having a blast.
> A luxury 10 x 10 leather bound album professionally curated by me to beautifully tell your story.
> A mini bridal boudoir session including hair, make-up and 5 fully edited images. This makes a wonderful grooms gift or even anniversary (if you can wait that long!)
Once You Book
Once we hear from a potential client, I always book an initial consultation to make sure that you and I are a good fit. I am going to be spending a LOT of time with you on your wedding day and I want you to be as comfortable and happy as possible. I'll get a feel for your vision of the day, who you and your partner are, senses of humour etc. As soon as we're both happy and want to move forward, you'll receive your proposal and your welcome package will be in the works!
I am a giver, and that means gifts for you haha! Another new thing I'm so happy to introduce this year is our welcome boxes. These include a candle, matches, treats, a personalized ornament to be used on the day of the wedding and as a keepsake, vow books, a ring box, lip chaps and the exclusive Amour magazine created by yours truly! The magazine will give you inspiration as to what kinds of images you'd like on the day off, it has decor ideas, budget tips and fillable forms to help you keep you organized, plus all kinds of exclusive tips, tricks and bonuses. All of that wrapped up in a gorgeous box that doubles as a great way to keep track of your wedding day essentials such as shoes, perfumes, special jewelry and more!
A few weeks before your wedding date, we'll book a final phone consultation to go over all the details. We talk about times, locations, flat lays, any photos you can't live without, creative ideas, if you need any help or ideas for the last minute things that tend to come up, etc.
A Fully Booked Season
One of the most amazing things that I get to say this year is that I have a fully booked wedding season! What a dream to be able to type that out! I am so lucky to be working with some incredible couples and I can't wait to get into the blog posts highlighting each and every one of them.
